Tell us about your show!
The Left Brain Intuition Podcast is a surprising conversation where logic meets intuition. We talk about this intriguing topic in a revolutionary way that would make sense to your accountant. In the show, we discuss the mechanics of intuition along with inspiring interviews with logical women who optimize their decisions with intuitive insights. For 20 years, Elise led a secret double life. She was a successful software engineer while also giving intuitive readings to perfect strangers. She describes intuition as a powerful decision-making system that can empower women to go after what they REALLY want.
Why did you start your podcast?
After I retired from software engineering, I decided that it was time to come out of the closet. I was a professional intuitive for 20 years and yet I NEVER spoke about intuition. I created this Podcast to reach women who want to break through the glass ceiling and achieve their impossible dreams. As a female engineer, I know it's easy to get caught up in the rules of logical minds and completely miss the big WINS that our subconscious intuition has to offer. I talk about intuition every day to inspire other women to create a life that works for them. No rules but their own.
What's been your biggest challenge?
I'm a one woman show and I was reluctant to delegate the most critical aspect of my podcast to a virtual assistant. But it could take me several days to record, edit and publish single show. It was exhausting! As an engineer, I knew that a lot of the time consuming repetitive tasks can always be automated, especially with the emergence of AI. So I always keep an eye out to try out emerging technology, especially when they naturally fit in my existing process.
How has podcasting impacted your personal and professional life?
My Podcast is the heart of my brand. It's a deep-dive to find the most valuable, life-changing content that I want to share with my audience. It's the first place where I spoke 100% freely about my weird intuitive skills and the difficult journey of reconciling my logical and intuitive perspectives. It's also where I can be 100% real, without external influences or agendas.
What advice do you have for new podcasters?
Don't let the logistics get in the way of your valuable message. Get the right help, get the right tools and streamline the hell out of your process until you LOVE IT.
Anything else you'd like to share with world??
One my of coolest I ever did was to build my own Sprinter Van so I could travel with my dogs. Check it out at https://elansprintervan.wordpress.com
How has Podium improved your workflow?
Using Podium+ Descript, I can get 4 podcast episodes ready to publish in less than 2 hours. This used to take me a full day per episode.
