Introducing Tim Dennis and Beer Guys Radio

Tim was first introduced to craft beer by co-workers from the UK who were happy to find Samuel Adams among the relative craft beer desert of Mississippi in the early 1990s. After relocating to Atlanta in 2000 he enjoyed the variety of beers available from local brewers (a measly 6 at that time) as well as the options available from other breweries across the country.

Tim, along with his co-host Brian, hosts Beer Guys Radio, a show about craft beer! Join hosts Tim and Brian each week as they chat with the amazing people that make your favorite beverage. New brews, beer reviews, industry news, and other topics of interest to beer drinkers all mixed in with humor.

Tell us about your show!

Beer Guys Radio is the craft beer podcast for everyone! We feature interviews with industry experts, craft beer news and education, and a look into the art, science, and culture of craft beer.

Why did you start your podcast?

My original co-host was the Program Director for a local radio station and wanted to offer a craft beer show on his station. We connected through a mutual friend to launch the show to cover local craft beer. Fast forward 7 years and Beer Guys Radio was syndicated on 60 radio stations across the US covering beer around the world. We've recently gone podcast-only to have more freedom over show content and we're excited for the future!

What's been your biggest challenge?

Time commitment has always been tough. You have to be serious and stay on schedule to keep a show going. Know there are ups and downs and push through. We've kept going for 7 years due to our love of craft beer, the people in the industry, and our passion for running our mouths. :)

How has podcasting impacted your personal and professional life?

Podcasting is our "side hustle" and has really become a part of who we are. Many of our friends are through craft beer and connected with us through our show. I've also taken the skills I've learned in podcasting and used in my day job for various events and, soon, to launch a company podcast.

What advice do you have new podcasters?

If you truly want to launch a podcast that will have growth potential and dedicated fans then make sure you are just as dedicated to your show. Consistently create quality content and give listeners something of value. Growing a podcast is a marathon, not a sprint. Most people won't see 100s or 1,000s of listeners right away but you have to stay on goal and keep at it.

Anything else you'd like to share with world?

I once shared a beer with a horse.
